PROCESS TECHNOLOGY

Muller extraction technology

A controlled process for extracting snail slime without sacrificing the animals, designed for professional production, repeatability and traceability.

An operator in a white coat uses the touch panel of a Muller extractor; snails are visible inside the domes.

Technology is useful when the entire process is organised.

Muller technology standardises the extraction phase, but the quality and commercial use of the material also depend on animal management, production scheduling, hygiene, collection, storage, quality control and the destination of the extracted slime.

For this reason, equipment selection is part of a wider production plan. Capacity must be aligned with the number of enclosures, available operators, expected cycles and downstream processing.

The operating principles

  • Animal preservation

The process is designed to collect slime without sacrificing the snails, allowing animals to return to the farming cycle according to the operating protocol.

  • Controlled extraction

Defined operating phases make time, handling and collection more consistent.

  • Process repeatability

Equipment and procedures help organise extraction as a professional activity rather than an occasional manual operation.

  • Traceability

Production records can connect the extracted material to animals, cycles, operators and subsequent processing.

  • Operator training

Installation is accompanied by the transfer of operating, hygiene and maintenance procedures according to the project agreement.

Muller configurations are selected according to production scale, number of enclosures, extraction programme and downstream use. Model details and capacities are defined during the technical consultation.
