Snail “Cherasco Method”

It is born in 2016 in collaboration with UNISG University of Gastronomic Sciences in Pollenzo

The collaboration of  UNISGIt was the beginning of the revolution of theInternational Institute of Heliciculture and of a collaboration that continues to spiralize in the sign of research, professional synergy and a great friendship.

Our effort is aimed at the affirmation and diffusion, consciously, of a quality heliciculture, which respects nature by accepting the limits that it imposes, oriented exclusively towards achieving a high quality standard.

The system Snail Farming Cherasco defines a breeding condition in which the habitat assumes a central role, with specific characteristics strictly oriented towards a natural and minimally invasive model that, however, It ensures a superior and standardized level of quality in production, through exclusively plant-based and controlled nutrition..

The increase in demand has made it necessary to adopt a single breeding method.

The Short Natural Cycle

Zone of Getting fat and Zone of Reproduction
WITHIN 1 HECTARE OF EXTENSION

Ideal for what we can consider MICROENTERPRISE:

farms at Family driving not exceeding 30 fences at most.

- Insertion of Breeding animals
Birth in the field of Small
- Natural migration of the herd from breeding area a fattening area
- First collection and delivery to the  12/14 months following the opening of the plant

The Short Natural Cycle

Dedicated area for reproduction.

Perfectly suited to extensive terrains, larger than one hectare and with more than 30 enclosures. This method represents the ideal solution to meet the increasing demand for snails at the national level.ensuring high-volume production.

  • Introduction to the young snail system: baby snails.
  • Exclusive implementation Ingress Cycle.
  • First collection and delivery within 6 months. from the start-up of the plant.

Predicts:

  • first collection and disposal within 12/14 months after the plant opening.

SHORT CYCLE

Predicts:

  • Insertion of baby snails
  • Only bulking cycle
  • first collection and disposal within the 6 months following the opening of the plant

FULL CYCLE

WITHIN 1 HECTARE OF EXTENSION

  • Ideal for what we can consider MICROENTERPRISE: family-run farms that do not exceed 30 enclosures at most.

SHORT CYCLE

Over 1 hectare in extension

  • Ideal for large land extensions, over one hectare and beyond 30 fences.
  • The Short Natural Breeding Cycle is the answer to the ever-increasing internal demand for snails because it guarantees quantitatively significant productions.
