CuneoDice.it - Cherasco prepares the 51st international snail farming conference.
From Friday 16th to Sunday 18th September, the International Institute of Heliciculture Cherasco is celebrating and opening its doors to celebrate the "Cherasco Method Snail" and the helical economy that derives from it, involving 13 productive sectors, presenting the latest important innovations introduced and achieved by the Institute in the snail farming sector.
A weekend of information and training with conferences, demonstrations, and visits to the Heliciculture Center, as well as a weekend of celebration. In the large courtyard in front of the Institute at Corso Einaudi 40 in Cherasco, on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th September it will be possible, in addition to attending talks and guided tours, to spend a day discovering the world of Heliciculture with tastings of delicious recipes based on snails - Burgundy snails, fried snails, snail arancini, snail salad with sun-dried tomatoes, snails with potatoes and Taggiasca olives - cooked live by the chefs of Lumacheria Italiana; try face and body products based on pure snail slime at Lumadea corner - the cosmetic line of the Institute - where you can undergo a free skin test; finally, at the Lumacheria Italiana stand, buy high gastronomy products from Italy's largest company specializing in snail meat.
The informative and training section includes appointments and activities dedicated both to heliciculturists who follow the Cherasco Method and who will gather for their Association's assembly - ANE, as well as to an increasing number of aspiring heliciculturists - affiliates to the "Cherasco Method" grow by 15% per year - who will be able to deepen "live" the dynamics of the helicultural sector and also deliver a soil sample for analysis, a fundamental first step for evaluating a heliciculture project.
But they are also open to enthusiasts, curious people, and those eager to understand the great economic potential and personal satisfaction behind heliciculture which, with the Cherasco Method, is increasingly gaining space and market share in the agricultural sector.
Activities start on Friday 16th September with the technical Conference "Helical Economy:
from snail farming to product safety" which will highlight the opportunities offered by a new model of agricultural business, clean, green, and profitable.
